Kansas Concealed Carry
The course teaches students about basic handgun types, safe gun handling, how to avoid trouble through awareness, shooting fundamentals, laws relating to concealed carry in Kansas, justifications for self defense, how to respond to a self defense incident and how to make application for a Kansas permit. The class requires 8 hours of class instruction, a short written test and a range qualification. The successful completion of this course earns the student a training certificate required to make application to the Kansas Attorney General for a concealed carry permit.

As Needed Instruction

We can tailor a class to fit your need, if you just want some basic beginner instruction, some help at the range with shooting basics, or you are taking advantage of no permit carry in Kansas and want to learn the "rules of engagement" we can customize training for you. We will accomodate up to 10 people in a presentation class, but prefer one or two for shooting training. Tell us what you need and your evening availability and we can give you the instruction that you need. We also do black powder pistol and rifle so let us know if your interested.

  • Cost is $60 for Kansas Concealed Carry with each student for class and students paying range fees directly when we shoot. 
  • Our Refuse To Be A Victim seminar is a no charge public service if presented to community groups, church groups, schools or other organizations.
  • As needed instruction is based on time required and is a minimum of $40.

Class Dates in 2019

We reserve the middle two weeks of each month and prefer Tue and Thursday evenings for any classes. We are now scheduling by request, so call us and tell us what you want to learn. 



Based in Lawrence Kansas, we teach principles of safe firearm use to people interested in concealed carry, home defense, or recreation. We believe shooting is fun, challenging and can be a tool to protect you and the ones you love. Our goal is to help you find confidence and enjoyment in the safe use of the pistol, or revolver. ​

The full seminar is four hours in length, but can be broken into modules of an hour each and presented on different occasions. It is flexible and designed to fit any venue.

Materials cost are $4.00 for the student packet which includes a comprehensive 81 page student manual. This seminar is not offered to make money, but as a service for those wishing to improve their own awareness, develop a safety plan and consider an array of safety strategies to help you take a proactive role in your personal safety.

Hundreds of federal, state and local law enforement officials across the country have implemented Refuse To Be A Victim into their crime prevention and community policing initiatives. Personal safety is not allways convenient. You must consciously integrate the options you choose into every day life until good habits are formed. Remember, criminal prefer easy targets. The more difficult a target you present, the less likely you are to become a victim.
